Earlier this year, Israel announced a plan to bring the remnents of the Ethiopian Jewish communiy home, with 2000 expected to arrive this year.  There are real and tangible costs involved, not just in bringing them to Israel, but in their successful absorption and acculturation. Because they are coming from a developing nation, the challenges they face are greater, the needs are more broad, and that’s where we have the opportunity to step up and make a difference together.
