Footsteps offers tracks that crisscross Europe (and elsewhere) to connect modern travelers with Holocaust era heroes, following the path of their lives. We will focus primarily on Righteous Gentiles who were Christian, and whose Christian faith motivated their selfless and heroic acts. Footsteps will be a boutique travel experience in order that it remain intimate and not mass marketed or lose a personal touch. We will travel in the Footsteps of the Righteous, tell their stories, meet their survivors, and tell the stories of the Jews they saved, and the generations that came from them. Through their personal examples we will inspire others to follow in their Footsteps, to inspire new generations of Righteous Gentiles, especially today when more and more of the world is embracing overt antisemitism.

Tuesday Day One: Arrival Amsterdam Schiphol Airport

Wednesday Day Two: Resistance and Resilience

  • Dutch resistance museum + Anne Frank House

  • Movie night: “One Life” Anthony Hopkins portrayal London stockbroker Nicholas Winton who organized the “Kindertransport” rescuing hundreds of Jewish children from Czechoslovakia in a race against time before the Nazi occupation closed the borders.

Thursday Day Three: Volendam-The Authentic Dutch Cultural Experience

  • Cheese, Clogs, StroopWafels, 16th century Windmills and Clog Dance Workshop!
  • Meet with family members of Jews who were saved by Righteous Gentiles

Friday: Day Four -She was a Light in the Darkness

Saturday-The Sabbath Day Five – Can We Create Peace in the World?

Sunday: Day Six Utrecht -The Heartland of the Netherlands

  • 4:30 Wake up for our forest walk reenactment of escaping from the Nazi Regime +Tour + Kindjeshaven-The Kids Haven where 1,000 Jewish infants were hidden and saved
  • Dutch Culture comes alive at Rietveld Schröder House
  • Gothic Dom Tower – Walk up 465 steps or take the elevator- You choose!

Monday: Day Seven

  • National Holocaust Museum
  • Guided Tour National Holocaust Museum- you can’t look away
  • Van Gogh Museum or Rembrandt at Rijksmuseum

Tuesday: Day Eight -The Past Meets the Present

  • Letter writing -Write a letter to be placed in the Western Wall, and write another letter to your future generations.
